Coloured belt (kup) Grading Tests for Dorset Taekwondo Association are conducted locally by a panel of Highly Qualified Black Belts including Master Evans (6th Dan) and Master Naraine (5th Dan). Also an independent examiner will usually be present.
Grading tests include many aspects of Taekwondo including basic techniques, poomse/patterns, destruction, self defence and sparring.

Grading tests are conducted four times a year. Students should not assume that they can test every 3 months. Improvement, progress and development needs to be shown between each grading test.

The test syllabus which can be viewed below is requirement for all students. Due to the physical nature of some of the exercise children under the age of 8 should not expect to be ready to test every 3 months, even with regular training.
