Dorset TAEKWONDO Association take part in the
Bournemouth Sports Festival

Over the bank Holiday weekend (May 2004)Dorset Taekwondo Association volunteered their services at the Bournemouth Councils annual Sports Festivals.

The Sports Festivals at Iford Playing fields on Saturday and Winton recreation ground on Monday, involved a whole range of sports including football, archery, hockey, rugby and many more. For the first year, probably since its inclusion in the Olympics, WTF Taekwondo were invited.

Master Naraine said “Since we have recently obtained sponsorship from 2 local companies (City electrical Factors and Trevor May Electrical Contractors) we now have the opportunity to promote our sport and expand our team. We are grateful to Bournemouth Councils Leisure Services Team for the opportunity to take part in this great weekend. Over the two days we probably taught approximately 500 children between the ages of 4 and 14. Many of the parents even joined in. The showery weather did not dampen our enthusiasm and we performed several display to large audiences including the mayor!”
