Another great result for our up and coming squad members. The Hard training is really starting to pay off!

Summery of the Action :-

Sarah Coleman - In her first competitoin she won her first bout 7-5; but then lost in the final 16-13. A great prospect for the future. SILVER

Giles MacDonald - His first Competiton; unforunatly he was in a category (-32kg Child) with 3 other black belts. Did well but lost his first bout on points BRONZE

Joe Fenn - Won his first easily 13-4 and then fought an experianced player who he beat in a close match 8-7 GOLD

Oliver Weeks - Against tough competition this time! Lost on Points BRONZE. Great flexibility and fitness but needs to develop more timing and ringcraft!

Jim Evans - Beat 2 taller experianced players. Caught one of them with a turning kick in the face that would have knocked out most adults! GOLD

'Super' Mario Kawoo - Fought 2 national standard players and beat them both on points. His speed and confidence is something we all want to achieve! GOLD & BEST MALE FIGHTER AT THE TOURNAMENT TROPHY!!!!!

Martin McDaid - ITF Player form the University Club. Adapted to WTF competition very quickly. beat some well known fighter to win GOLD!

Angus Mc Donald -Only one other fighter in hi category but he won convincingly with the referee having to stop the contest! GOLD

Aaron Moss - Our foolish instructor was already injured before he started with a twisted and swollen knee. Unfortunately he lost to a player he would normally dispatch with ease! BRONZE

Matt Pike - As usual t tough category with some experianced players. He struggles as most of them are considerably taller than him. Won his first fight then lost to the Gold medalist. BRONZE

Chris Furey - Hasn't fought for the club for sometime as he has been away in the army! He might be only a middleweight but he easily beat both of his heavyweight opponents; winning his final by technical KO, Chopping kick on his opponents nose!!! GOLD
