Silver & Bronze at the Welsh Open

A eight strong team including Aaron Moss, David Cho, Andy Wright, Joe Fenn, Adam Moore, Robin Widajewski-Klessczcz, Seb Allen and Adam Mills competed in the 7th Welsh Open Championships on 4th May 2003. There was over 250 competitors from all over the country. All have there own stories to tell.
Special mention to Seb Allen who won his first fight on points, but lost in the semi final to The Irish Champion. Still winning BRONZE.
Also Joe Fenn (defending the gold he had previously won at this event) who was completely robbed on a technicality. Basically he scored a full contact head shot, knocking his opponent the floor, in the opening seconds of the bout. The in experienced referee gave the downed player a minute to recover when he should have counted him out!
In the interests of good etiquette we chose not to contest the decision and are counting it as a moral victory! Joe still took home SILVER.

All the team gained vital experience and will learn from this and improve for the next competition.
WELL DONE
