Bournemouth & Christchurch Squad Results.

Dorset Invitational 2005 – This again was a very successful day despite players not meeting their weight and players not turning up. Master Naraine did exceptionally well to put the over weight players in other categories resulting in most fights being unaffected.

Bournemouth and Christchurch team had 24 players and in the total tally we won the second team trophy. We had a range of fighters some it being their first competition some being experienced we all did very well and we all had a fun day and enjoyed ourselves. Many of the associations senior grades were involved in officiating and therefore could not compete!

Jamie Roe – Jamie had a really good first fight he dominated and won 12-1, the fighter had no chance since the beginning. Jamie showed good technique and could be a promising prospect for the future. His second fight he was holding his own however after a kick to the throat he was unable to continue Lost 15-8. Getting Silver

Chris Cribbett – Chris was up against a good player and didn't’t really have any chance, despite this he continued and Lost 12-2. Getting Silver

Christopher Belk – Chris was unlucky in the draw as it was his first competition and was against a very tall experienced player, however this did not faze him and he kept on going. Resulting in him losing 20-1. Getting Silver

Mark Docherty – Mark Did very well he won his first fight more than convincingly 11-1 he showed superior technique and quality. His second was very close despite getting hit to the face this only angered him more as he dug deep to find the energy to over come and win 9-8. However in his third fight his energy lacked and he had nothing left to give and lost 8-1. This was a very good set of fights and mark did exceptionally well winning Silver.

Adam Moore – Adam was the shock of the tournament despite not training much because of commitment to college in Stratford he had been doing his own fitness and technique training and it showed in the first fight by overwhelming a not so good player 20-3. Despite using up all his energy levels in the first fight Adam kept on going and showed amazing quality beating a very experienced player 19-8. This is very promising from Adam and we hope to see more of him in the future. Gold

Mark Woods – This was marks first competition and he was up against a very good player who did all the basics right, nevertheless mark kept in there and did some really good moves unfortunately losing 9-3. Won Silver

Christopher Fortune – Chris lacked experienced and it showed when he came against an experienced player despite Chris’s best effort he lost 14-1. Bronze

Jim Evans – Jim did well despite not player at his best level. He had a very convincing win in the first fight defeated a very good experienced player 13-7. Jim did well in his second fight he over come his confidence to play some good Taekwondo against a national standard opponent and in the end won the fight as the player could not continue. Gold

Angus Macdonald. – Angus was unlucky about his fight, he was the superior all the way through and in the last round lacked fitness and his opponent managed to pull it back to 12-12. It went into golden point. Angus shot and didn’t score and the player caught him on the counter. Angus did very and will only improve especially if he gets CONTACT lenses!. Bronze

Jenna Fudge – Jenna did very well she was up against a very good player and it didn’t faze her at all. She was complimented by another Master watching who said she had good foot work and just wasn’t utilising her ability. The time Jenna did do this she scored six points in succession without any given away. So the talent and quality is there we just need to work on the basics a bit. Silver

Brian Valencia – Brian was up against a very good player who went on the win the category. Brian showed he was determined by even after he felt he had lost the fight he continued on practising techniques to see the results and most of them were successful. Bronze

Justin ClarkeGold opponent didn’t show.
