Dutch Open Eindhoven 2007

Congratulations to Jim Evans and Marcin Tata who took part in the Dutch Open on 24th and 25th March 2007.

This competition is THE BIGGEST WTF Taekwondo competition in THE WORLD! There was over 1300 competitors including World and Olympic Champions, and Olympic teams from over 50 countries.

Marcin was first up. He put up a strong, confident and focused performance - but lost on points to a Dutch Player. (There was 39 competitors in Marcins weight)

Jim, in his first time fighting on the world stage, was perhaps unlucky to draw the Spanish national team player. In a very low scoring tactical fight Jim was narrowly beaten with the final score being -1 - 0. (The Spanish Player went on to win Bronze)
